Mike has been an independent insurance agent for his entire 36 year career, because he chooses to represent the client and not a sales quota from an insurance company.

Mike Wade started working with Seniors while still a student at Clemson University, where he earned a BS in Financial Management. He was a member of the the 1981 Clemson National Championship football team.

Growing up, Mike learned his work ethic by tagging along with his mother and father on the weekends managing rental properties. His father was a Vice President of a small insurance company in Greenville, SC, so he understood the value of insurance and taking care of clients from an early age. Even before graduating from Clemson, he applied for his insurance license and set out to work with Senior Citizens. This was the beginning of his career-long passion to serve and educate retirees in protecting their assets from a potential catastrophic medical claim. He has been an independent insurance agent for his entire 36 year career, because he chooses to represent the client and not a sales quota from an insurance company.

He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for 36 years. To say Mike is a family man would be an understatement. He is at his happiest when his three children, son-in-law, and grandson are all in one room. If he had a nickel for every movie he’s seen at the theater, he would have a lot of nickels. A true believer in being a life-long learner, he enjoys reading and researching a wide range of topics. This is what allows him to be such an asset to his clients – he has the knowledge and knows how to implement it to best serve others.
