Attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with clients are two of many attributes that allow Michael to serve his clients well.

Michael was born and raised in Greenville, SC. He graduated from Clemson University in 2010 with a degree in Financial Management and Accounting. While there, he was fortunate to be a scholarship athlete on the football team where he was elected team captain his senior year.

After graduating from Clemson, he joined Mike in Greenville working in the financial services field for a couple of years before joining Teach For America. This program exists to give all kids the opportunity to have a great education. Michael’s two year commitment consisted of teaching high school math and special education in a charter school in Indianapolis. The experience enhanced his desire to find ways to help others, whether that is in the classroom or elsewhere.

After finishing his commitment in Indianapolis in 2015, Michael moved to his mother’s hometown of Charleston, SC to be closer to extended family. He worked as a Loan Officer with Movement Mortgage for four and half years. Attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with clients were two of many attributes that allowed him to serve his clients as they worked towards buying their home.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys staying active, spending time with family, reading, and trying to learn Greek. He is active at church as a member of the Parish Council, New Building Committee, High School Sunday School teacher, and co-chair of the annual Greek Festival. If there’s a need and he has the capacity to help, he will!
